High Efficiency Wire And Cable Machinery Production Line For Corrugation Sheath Cable
Introduction
This tube welding and corrugating line is specially designed to produce aluminum corrugation tube sheath to middle and high voltage cables and other cables with special requirement. The helical corrugation tube sheath is gas and liquid proof which strengthens high impact and pressures stability while ensures bend ability of cable. As the advantages like low consumption, high accuracy and high efficiency is quite obvious over traditional cable armouring methods, this producing line is being adopted by vast HV cable manufacturers and communication cable manufacturers.
Process Flow
The producing takes metal strip as basic material and follows tube forming, seam welding and corrugation process route. The whole line utilises PLC control system to maintain the producing with high efficiency and low defects, meanwhile requiring less manpower involved. The whole line works in synchronization as following.
1. Pay-off
Cable core bobbin and strip bobbin are lifted on each pay-off stand. The design of the strip pay-off depends on the packaging of the metal strip supply.
2. Feeding
The cable tip gets dragged into forming machine and keeps passing along the center line. Oxidized aluminum strip margin gets cut off before it enters into forming machine for a better welding quality.
3. Strip Forming
The cable keeps forwarding while the strip keeps forming into a tube shape around the core cable.
4. Welding
When the cable is well arounded with the aluminum tube, they enter into the welding machine simultaneously to get the seam welded. There is an electromagnetic detection device inspecting welding quality.
5. Dragging
The caterpillar works as dragging force of combined cable and sheath tube as well as pushing force for them enter into corrugation machine.
6. Tube Corrugation
After welding, the core cable is actually protected already by the flat tube. But flat tube is not tough enough as corrugation tube in against pressing, shocking, striking damages etc. Then the core cable with welded aluminum tube is sent into corrugation machine. The corrugation pitch is adjustable according to different mechanical requirements
7. Put away the completed cable with corrugation tube into giant take-up bobbin.
