McWiLL is the only commercialized 4G technology in the world. The technology is based on SCDMA developed by Beijing Xinwei. The latest International standard ITU-R M.1801-11 published in April 2010 lists McWiLL, in the name of SCDMA, in Annex 7 for wireless access.

McWiLL are characterized in wide a service range. Voice and data services are integrated in one system. The voice service of McWiLL is better 2G and Data service is better than existing 3G. It is not necessary any more to set up two systems separately for voice and data. MBB handover supports mobility of 120km/h.
Mixture of Voice and Data
One BTS covers area up to radius 70KM in rural and 1-3 km in urban. In a good coverage area with 5 MHz bandwidth, one BTS supports data communication 15Mbps, up and down. In the area of extremely high density usage, a cell could be covered by three BTS, 45Mbps.
Under TDD mode, the up/downlink ratio is adjustable as 1/7, 2/6, 3/5, 4/4, 5/3, 6/2 and 7/1, suitable for the applications from purely internet download to purely video surveillance.
